Freestyle Skiing

RULES:
This competition will be conducted under the rules of the Canadian
Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA)

CATEGORIES:
Junior Male:
Born in 1993, 1994, 1995 or 1996
Junior Female:
Born in 1993, 1994, 1995 or 1996
Athletes born in 1997 or later may compete upon approval of the Head Official.
Written documentation attesting to their skills and abilities must be submitted
60 days in advance of the Games.

Both Categories:
1. Moguls – The Host Society will provide jump specifications
2. Big Air – The Host Society will provide jump specifications
3. Half Pipe – The Host Society will provide jump specifications
4. Slopestyle – The Host Society will provide jump specifications

Coaches
- 2
One coach must be
female and one male. If a coach
from one gender is not available a chaperon must be substituted.
Coaches must be fully certified at the appropriate level for all disciplines as
required by their national sport governing body in their own jurisdiction.

COMPETITION
The
Canadian Freestyle Ski Association rules and regulations will be in effect.
Competition will be held in male and female moguls, big air, slopestyle
and half-pipe.
Moguls:

SPORT SCORING:
Scoring shall be in according to CFSA rules and regulations.
Men and women will compete separately and ranked separately.
Athletes will be ranked from 1st
through last place
Tie
Breaking Rule-Competition: If a tie
occurs in an event, the tie shall be broken according to the CFSA General Rules
and Regulation and the CFSA Judging Manual.
In
the event that a tie cannot be broken according to the above, then both
competitors would receive the same position and award and the next position
would be eliminated. For example,
in the case of a tie for first place, both competitors would receive a gold
medal and the second place competitor would be placed third and awarded a bronze
medal.
