1.                  RULES:  This competition will be conducted under the rules of the International Federation of Skiing (FIS).

2.                  CATEGORIES:       

            Junior Male:               Born in 1993 or 1994

            Junior Female:          Born in 1993 or 1994

            Juvenile Male:            Born in 1995 or 1996

            Juvenile Female:       Born in 1995 or 1996

3.         EVENTS:                                         

            All Four Categories:

o       Slalom

o       Dual Slalom

o       Giant Slalom

            Team Event (see attached for scoring system)

4.                  TEAM COMPOSITION: Each Games Unit may enter a team comprised of a maximum of twelve (12) athletes plus two (2) coaches, as follows:

            Junior Male                - 3

            Junior Female           - 3       

            Juvenile Male             - 3

            Juvenile Female        - 3

            Coaches                    - 2

One coach must be female and one male.  If a coach from one gender is not available a chaperon must be substituted.

5.                  MEDALS:      Individually by event:

            GOLD             - 24

            SILVER          - 24

            BRONZE        - 24

6.                  Scoring system for determining ‘Team Event’ placement.

Points will be awarded to teams based on the placing of their skiers in each individual event as follows (based on FIS World Cup events):

1^st place          - 100 points

2^nd place        -   80 points

3^rd place         -   60 points

4^th place         –  50 points

5^th place         –  45 points

6^th place         –  40 points

7^th place         –  36 points

8^th place         –  32 points

9^th place         –  29 points

10^th place       –  26 points

11^th place       –  24 points

12^th place       –  22 points

13^th place       –  20 points

14^th place       –  18 points

15^th place       –  16 points

Each member of the team receiving the most points shall receive the Team Event gold Ulu.  Silver and bronze Team Event Ulus will be awarded to all members of the teams receiving the second and third highest point totals respectively.
